A promoter of filmmakers, filmmaking and film festivals, Sandefur has produced a few films and assisted on several others. He has worked as a location scout, casting coordinator and prop master. He digitized all traditional media efforts and incorporated social media (Facebook, Twitter, FourSquare, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Google +, LinkedIn, etc.) during the Macon Film Festival.

Sandefur has worked as a film festival director, consultant, organizer and coordinator for various film festivals including Macon Film Festival, North Hollywood International Film Festival and others. He worked in the press office for 2016 Sundance Film Festival.
